Josephine Kao is a senior at Mira Loma High School in Sacramento, California. She has served as President of the Placer County Youth Commission and is Communications Director on the Nestlé Very Best in Youth Foundation. This August, Josephine currently serves as the student appointee on the California State Board of Education. When she is not busy pursuing her passion for education and youth leadership, Josephine can be found playing harp at her local hospital or competing in speech and debate tournaments. Josephine is committed to promoting student voice in the community, as it is her belief that every student has a valuable perspective to share.
