Julien Robson

Co-curator, 'Juvenile In Justice' exhibition

Julien Robson is a project-based Independent Curator/Consultant located in Philadelphia.

Previously he held positions as Curator of Contemporary Art at the Pennsylvania Academy of the Fine Arts (PAFA). and the Speed Art Museum in Louisville Kentucky. His many exhibition projects include "Mel Chin: It’s Not What You Think," which was part of the Curated_By 2012 Festival in Vienna, "HERE, 2011," which explored the role of the regional in a globalized art world, and "Presence," a two year long project presenting international artists begun in 2003.

Robson studied Fine Art at Bath Academy of Art and the Slade School of Art before beginning his career as an international curator. He came to the US, after working for ten years in the commercial gallery sector in Vienna. He has contributed to many exhibition catalogues and is is currently working on a book about the Shands collection of contemporary art to be published in March 2014. Robson is co-curator of the Juvenile In Justice exhibition in Philadelphia.
