Kathryn Sessions is the founding director of the Health and Environmental Funders Network (HEFN), a network of grantmakers working at the intersection of environment and health. She is a regular contributor to Giving InSight, HEFN’s weekly blog for and about funders focused on health and the environment. Sessions is a member of the Board on Environmental Studies and Toxicology of the National Research Council and has served on one NRC review panel. Sessions has worked on sustainable development, climate, and civil society issues for philanthropic, nongovernmental, and multilateral organizations. She holds an M.P.A. from the Woodrow Wilson School of Public and International Affairs at Princeton and an A.B., magna cum laude, in Social Studies from Harvard University.
