Keith O’Neale serves as secretary and treasurer of the Virgin Islands Economic Leadership Council, an organization dedicated to strengthening the U.S. Virgin Islands’ economy and advancing initiatives that benefit Virgin Islands businesses and employees.

O’Neale is the owner and president of O’Neale’s Transport, a local company that plays a vital role in the territory’s economy. O’Neal’s Transport, based in St. Croix, employs 55 local residents and has a satellite office in St. Thomas. O’Neale took leadership of the company from his father, who founded the family business in 1969.

Born and raised in the Virgin Islands, O’Neale has served the community through active involvement in local organizations focused on economic development, education and environmental issues. He has held roles on the St. Croix Chamber of Commerce Board of Directors, the St. Croix Environmental Association Board of Directors, the Alcohol Control Board of the Virgin Islands and the Country Day School Board of Directors. O’Neale has a bachelor’s degree in business from Howard University with a concentration in computer-based information, as well as an associate diploma of environmental health and safety from the Government Institutes, also in Washington D.C.
