Laurie Adams

Chief Executive Officer, Women for Women International

Laurie Adams is the Chief Executive Officer of Women for Women International (WfWI), a leading global organization dedicated to working with women survivors of conflict and violence that has served more than 462,000 women since its founding in 1993. WfWI is currently serving over 15,000 women in Afghanistan, DRC, South Sudan, Nigeria, Kurdistan Region of Iraq, Rwanda, Kosovo, and Bosnia and Herzegovina . Prior to joining WfWI, Ms. Adams served as the Women's Rights Director for Oxfam Great Britain from the UK, after having managed Oxfam’s country programs in three African regions based out of Senegal, Kenya and South Africa. Ms. Adams also spent eight years at ActionAid International's Johannesburg secretariat leading efforts to measure impact, strengthen learning, and build accountability for over 40 countries. Ms. Adams holds a Master’s degree in Public Policy Management from the University of London, a Bachelor’s degree in Political Science and Women’s Rights from Dartmouth College, and completed the Advanced Management Program at the Harvard Business School.
