Laura Fisher was born in Cincinnati, OH, and is still based there today, though she is currently working in France at La Porte Peinte Centre pour les Arts as an artist-in-residence. Her mixed-media artwork quietly deals with the issues of communication, self-awareness, and memory, and can be viewed at

Ms. Fisher graduated summa cum laude from the University of Cincinnati in 2011 with a BFA in Fine Arts (Photography concentration). At the University of Cincinnati, she received the Outstanding Fine Arts Senior Award, the Founders Level Cincinnatus Scholarship, the John L. Magro Foundation Fine Arts Scholarship, and the Wolfstein Fine Arts Freshman Scholarship for Promising Artists, among other awards and honors. She has traveled extensively throughout Germany, the photographic results of which were displayed in a solo exhibition at the Max Kade German Cultural Center in 2011. Ms. Fisher has been working as a freelance wedding photographer for five years, and, most recently, as a fashion photographer for VogueVert, an online boutique of conscious luxury goods. She collects acorns and letters, and is obsessed with Arrested Development and The X-Files. In her spare time, she builds contemporary dollhouses. You can follow her adventures via her blog.
