Anne is a counselor, spiritual director, and leadership consultant at Journey Counseling Services in Sioux Falls, SD. In addition to her work in counseling, she has a DMin in spirituality and transformational leadership, and helps faith communities and non-profit groups develop collaborative leadership teams. She also has a PhD in clinical psychology. Her on-going work in that area is focused on the process of forgiveness, restorative justice, and healing. Anne helped design and staff one of the first restorative justice programs for at-risk girls in the United States. Currently, she is one of the Keepers of the Canton Native Asylum Story, a group engaged in reconciliation and education about the asylum that was the linchpin of federal "Indian" policy from 1902-1933. As a South Dakota Humanities Council Scholar, she leads workshops about the asylum, as well as book discussion groups across the state. Anne is also a member of Therapy Dogs International, volunteering with her dog in local schools and medical facilities.
