Lexy Zissu and Deirdre Dolan

Contributor

After writing about fashion and style for the New York Observer, Lexy Zissu moved to San Francisco to freelance write (for Vogue, Organic Style, Health, and Bon Appetit, among others). She quickly returned to New York to write and edit at Details magazine, then Lifetime magazine, and most recently at T: The New York Times Style Magazine. Lexy's organic daughter, Aili, popped up on a positive pregnancy test right around when "The Complete Organic Pregnancy" was sold. She was born in February 2006. Lexy lives with Aili's dad and a calico cat named Corrina one block from where she grew up in New York. City life doesn't mean a lack of organic produce; Lexy has been a member of a local CSA (community supported agriculture) for the past 6 years.

Deirdre Dolan wrote a TV column for The New York Observer. Eventually she left the paper to write about popular culture for a Canadian paper (The National Post). She moved to California to become The Post's Los Angeles correspondent, then moved back to New York to freelance for magazines like The New York Times Magazine, Harpers Bazaar, US Weekly, Premiere, Rolling Stone and Allure. She wrote for television (VH-1 and "Jimmy Kimmel Live"), and about television ("Curb Your Enthusiasm: The Book") before beginning The Complete Organic Pregnancy. She became pregnant while writing and editing "The Complete Organic Pregnancy," and her organic baby is due on Thanksgiving. Deirdre lives in Brooklyn with her husband and their dog Harriet.
