With a theatre degree from Arizona State University, Lisa started her career in entertainment as an actor (Series Regular, General Hospital) before becoming a caregiver, writer and filmmaker. Her first novel, On the Brink of Bliss & Insanity was published in 2009 by Five Star Publications. It won The London Book Festival and took the silver medal in Foreword Magazine’s Book of the Year Awards.

Her memoir, As Nora Jo Fades Away, Confessions of a Caregiver came out in 2010, winning The Paris and DIY Los Angeles Book Festivals, and nabbing a beautiful foreword from Leeza Gibbons. It’s optioned by RicheProductions who’s developing the series. Lisa refers to her documentary short, “14 DAYS with Alzheimer’s,” as the sequel to the memoir. Executive producer, Ken Atchity and Lisa completed “14 DAYS...” in August of 2011. The film has been touring ever since.
