Lopez Lomong was born in Southern Sudan, taken captive by rebel soldiers at the age of 6. His first race was running three days and nights as fast and as far away from his captors as possible. He will be running the 5000m dash with Team USA in London. Few runners dare to dream of the Olympics -- let alone a boy who didn’t know that running was a sport until his early teens. It was then he saw a TV screen and the Olympic games for the first time. Today, Lopez shares his life story in the first of a three part series.
