Mark Moore

CEO and Co-founder Mana Nutrition

Mark Moore is the co-founder of MANA Nutrition, one of the world’s leading suppliers of Ready to Use Therapeutic Food,(RUTF) the front line defense against severe acute malnutrition. MANA’s production facility employs more than 60 people and supplies partners such as UNICEF, the World Food Program, World Vision, Doctors without Borders and USAID to aid in their efforts in fighting malnutrition in more than 50 countries across the globe. Mark was an Unreasonable Institute Fellow in Boulder, CO in 2013 where he and others launched Calorie Cloud, a tech start up that harvests excess calories in the US and turn them into 500 calorie packets of RUTF. Calorie Cloud now partners with the US Fund for UNICEF to run UNICEF Kid Power, the first ever fit for good tech platform. Prior to Mana Mark lived and worked for ten years in Uganda, East Africa where he helped launch the Kibo Group. He has a masters degree from Georgetown University and served as a Legislative Fellow and Africa specialist in the US Senate. He is author of Nourish, a book about faith and global hunger and has spoken widely from TED events to various corporate gatherings. He has four children and he and his wife Marnie reside in Charlotte, NC.
