Mark Katz is a speechwriter, humorist and consultant who, under the banner of his Sound Bite Institute, generates humor for himself and his clients - a hodgepodge of world leaders, corporate bigshots and various VIPs. For the eight years of a previous administration, he assisted President Bill Clinton with his annual humor speeches to the Washington press corps, an experience he's recounted in his most recent book, Clinton & Me: A Real Life Political Comedy.

His humor essays have appeared in The New Yorker, New York Times, Time, Slate and reprinted in Mirth of a Nation, a compendium of the best of contemporary humor. He has also produced a series of humor segments for ABC News Prime Time Live and is currently writing an original comedy series for TV Land.
