Maryam is a former correspondent and current Founder of Womenfound as well as the Chair of the Pacific Palisades Community Council, Vice-Chair of the Westside Regional Alliance of Councils, President of the local Middle School PTSA and the founding Chair of the Pacific Palisades Task Force on Homelessness. Most recently, she was honored by LA County Supervisor, Sheila Keuhl, as Volunteer of the Year for the 3rd District and Honorary Fire Chief for Pacific Palisades. In 2010, Maryam Founded Womenfound, a nonprofit dedicated to raising awareness about the plight of women in underdeveloped parts of the world, as well as raising money for charities and foundations that help them. She is mother to 3 as well as a wife, daughter, sister and humanitarian. She is active in her community and works closely with local officials on matters of community interest. She is a regular commentator on a wide range of issues.
