Meryl Branch-McTiernan is a writer, reader, and observer of high and low culture. She is a lifelong New Yorker who recently completed a novel about a girl who moves to Los Angeles to pursue her sitcom writing dreams. Envious of her protagonist's adventures, she was inspired to follow in her footsteps, and is currently chronicling her own experiences trying to make it in Tinseltown. A graduate of Syracuse University's S.I. Newhouse School of Public Communications, she feels extremely lucky to have had the opportunity to earn a degree in watching television. A proud feminist, she is very interested in presenting a female perspective that feels authentic to the sentiments of the diverse women in her life. She has many pleasures, none of which she feels guilty about. She loves cats more than dogs, tv more than movies, and chocolate way more than vanilla.
