Sociologist, author, advocate for gender equality
Michael Kimmel is Executive Director of the Center for the Study of Men and Masculinities at Stony Brook University (SUNY) where he is also Distinguished Professor of Sociology and Gender Studies. He is the author of 20 books, including MANHOOD IN AMERICA, ANGRY WHITE MEN, and the best-seller, GUYLAND. He consults wth governments, corporations and organizations around the world to engage men for gender equality. The Guardian newspaper in London recently called him "the world's most prominent male feminist."
