Michele Anthony currently owns her own consulting and management firm, 7H Entertainment, LLC, which was formed in 2006. Ms. Anthony advises in strategic career planning, marketing and select managerial services. Her current clients include artists such as Pearl Jam, Black Sabbath & Ozzy Osbourne, Björk, and Soundgarden. Ms. Anthony also currently chairs the Global Poverty Project – Global Citizen Ticket Initiative.
Prior to that, Michele Anthony was President and Chief Operating Officer of the Sony Music Label Group. Ms. Anthony oversaw and had responsibility for the day-to-day management and operations of the Sony Music Label Group. She played a pivotal role in managing the company’s operations, including: overseeing key divisions, forming a wide variety of strategic alliances and facilitated in the signing of numerous artists. Ms. Anthony also served as Sony Music Entertainment's liaison to other Sony divisions and companies, including Sony Pictures Entertainment and Sony Electronics.
Prior to joining Sony Music, Ms. Anthony was a Partner in the entertainment law firm of Manatt, Phelps, Rothenberg & Phillips, where her clients included Guns 'N Roses, Rick Rubin, The Sugarcubes, Pixies, Alice In Chains, Ozzy Osbourne, Soundgarden and Sub Pop Records.
For almost two decades Ms. Anthony was named one of the most powerful women in entertainment in Hollywood Reporter's annual "Women in Entertainment" issue. She has served on the boards of the Recording Industry Association of America (RIAA); Rock and Roll Hall of Fame Foundation (Executive Board Member); Rock The Vote (Executive Board Member); and the National Center For Missing and Exploited Children.
Ms. Anthony holds a B.A. with distinction in Philosophy and International Relations from George Washington University, and a J.D. from the University of Southern California, Order of the Coif.
