Mike Rowan is the communications director of the 45-voice 18th Street Singers, a choir of young professionals in D.C. Founded under ten years ago, the group has already sung for packed crowds at the Kennedy Center, the Piccolo Spoleto music festival, and the POTUS' National Christmas Tree Lighting Ceremony, and performed two world-premiere compositions.

During his three years working with the press, the choir has drawn feature coverage in the Washington Post, Classical WETA, the Washingtonian, and WTOP, among others. In his musical travels with the 18th Street Singers and other ensembles, he has performed in Carnegie Hall, the Kennedy Center, Disney Concert Hall, Wolf Trap, and overseas in Prague and Spain. He also works in development for American University and sings with the Wammie-nominated group The Capital Hearings.
