Vice-rector of the Ukrainian Catholic University, founder of Amnesty International Ukraine, and fmr. prisoner of conscience
Myroslav Marynovych is a vice-rector for university mission of the Ukrainian Catholic University in Lviv, Ukraine, and a president of the Institute of Religion and Society of the same University. Marynovych is a founding member of the Ukrainian Helsinki Group and a prisoner of conscience (1977–1987). He headed the Amnesty International structures in Ukraine (1991–1996) and was president of the Ukrainian Center of the PEN International.
