Neil Ghosh is the founder and Board Chair of Global Youth Initiative. GYI empowers youth to apply community-specific solutions to the most urgent issues of our time: unemployment, intolerance, violent extremism and violence against women and girls. Neil is also the founder and former President of SNV USA – an affiliate of SNV Netherlands Development Organization. SNV is a capacity development organization committed to reducing poverty and improving good governance with 90 offices and 1300 global professionals in 36 countries.
Neil has successfully launched and grown operations (non-profit and for profit) from the ground up and built internal structures, teams, business models, and strategies to reach organizational goals. He led strategic operations to advance development, diplomacy, and defense goals across the civil society, government, and the private sector. Neil’s experience and expertise touches governments, the private sector, philanthropy and more. Earlier, he held leadership roles in several organizations, including the Australian Government, Swiss Re, Prentice Hall Legal & Financial Services, Veterans Engineering, and others. Neil is a Certified Management Consultant (CMC) and has an MBA in International Business, a MS in Management Information Systems, and has been featured in print, broadcast, and online media in the United States and abroad.
