Nikki Mark

Executive Vice President of Operations for sbe

Balancing her roles as Executive Vice President of Operations for a 3000-employee hospitality company and raising two children, Nikki Mark is intimately familiar with the challenges and rewards of being a working mom.

Currently, Nikki is the Executive Vice President of Operations for sbe, an industry leading hospitality, real estate and entertainment company. At sbe, she focuses on the efficiencies and success of the entire sbe hospitality platform and works closely with each sbe department to ensure that communication and synergies between divisions are maximized.

When she’s not working, Nikki is passionate about being with her children and reading books to them.

Last year, as her older son (age four at the time) began questioning why she had to go to work and became increasingly anxious about it, she searched online for a book to help her provide an explanation to which he could relate. After searching a few of the largest online booksellers, she quickly realized that there were no books available for kids on the topic.

After that search, Nikki was driven to pen her very own story for her young boys. When she read the book to her sons, and they really responded to story, she realized that other moms and their young children might also benefit from it. In 2010, Nikki self-published Mommy Brings Home the Bacon as a way to begin the conversation of working mothers with children everywhere.

Nikki graduated with honors from the University of California Santa Barbara with a degree in Communications, and subsequently earned her MBA from Thunderbird Graduate School of International Management with an emphasis in global marketing and international management.

Nikki was born and raised in Los Angeles and currently resides in her hometown with her husband, two young boys, step-son and her rescue dog found at the bottom of the Grand Canyon.
