Paula Escobar Chavarría is a Chilean editor, journalist and author of several books. In 2006 was awarded as a Young Global Leader by the World Economic Forum, and in 2012 she was elected Yale World Fellow. Among her many awards, she received the Lenka Franulic in 2014 (to the most prominent chilean journalist of the year), and BBC chose her as one of the 100 women in 2015. She has leaded a national campaign against sterotypes and photoshop of women in media. Since 2001 she works as Magazines Editor of El Mercurio, the main newspaper in Chile and oversees six weekly magazines that lead chilean readership.
