Family Law is Penelope Hefner’s passion.

Having been born in Athens, Greece but raised in Charlotte, NC, Ms. Hefner received her Bachelor’s Degree and Juris Doctor from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill.

She now practices Family Law with Sodoma Law, P.C., where she is also a certified Parenting Coordinator (working with parents in high conflict custody cases).

In speaking about her passion for Family Law, Ms. Hefner has said, “I will do everything in power to right the wrong. I want to help. I want to be the one my client relies on for understanding and support while I educate him or her about their case and their options. I want to advocate on his or her behalf for what is best for their circumstance. I may not be able to recreate the masterpiece, but hopefully I can help my clients minimize the damage and create a new one.”

In addition to her practice, she is a volunteer attorney for the Legal Representation Project of Safe Alliance for which she has also received the Commitment to Justice Award. Ms. Hefner is a member of the Family Law Sections of the Mecklenburg County, Union County and North Carolina State Bar Associations. She is also on the board of the Union Symphony Society. She is married to Scott and together they are the proud parents of their newborn son.
