Rabbi Mark A. Gruber

Co-chair, Regional Social Action Committee, Greater New York Council, Union for Reform Judaism

Rabbi Marc A. Gruber has served Central Synagogue of Nassau County since July 2002. Rabbi Gruber currently serves as co-chair of the Regional Social Action Committee, Greater New York Council, Union for Reform Judaism (URJ) and is a member of the Commission on Social Action of the URJ. Rabbi Gruber also serves on the Steering Committee of the Reform Jewish Voice of New York State. He is a member of the Rabbinic Advisory Committee and Jewish Fund for Justice, an organization that provides education and funding to grassroots organizations working to break the cycle of poverty in the United States. Rabbi Gruber is a member of the Nassau County Youth Board and serves as the Chairman of the Human Rights Commission of the Village of Rockville Centre. He serves as an Adjunct Professor at Molloy College where he teaches courses on Judaism and a core course on "Conflict and Harmony: Islam and the Western World" through the Department of Theological and Religious Studies.
