Rainey Reitman is a co-founder and chief operating officer of Freedom of the Press Foundation, a nonprofit that crowd-sources funding to support investigative journalism. She's also a founder and steering committee member for the Bradley Manning Support Network, a network of individuals and organizations advocating for the release of accused WikiLeaks whistleblower Pfc. Bradley Manning. Reitman explores issues of government transparency and individual privacy through her role as Activism Director at the Electronic Frontier Foundation (EFF). She speaks and writes often about civil liberties in the digital world and the future of privacy. She serves on the board of directors for the Bill of Rights Defense Committee.
