Ricky Eisen is the original founder and president of Between the Bread, one of Manhattan’s most renowned and prestigious corporate catering companies. With more than 35 years of experience in the food and beverage industry, Ms. Eisen oversees each and every event that Between the Bread handles to make sure that everything is coordinated perfectly and to her standards.

Between the Bread provides five-star quality, gourmet cuisine, as well as additional services to make events a smashing success. Along with a customized menu to meet client needs, Between the Bread can decorate a space, locate an event venue, handle floral decorations, hire wait staff, and arrange for rentals.

Ms. Eisen founded Between the Bread in 1979 as a casual, inviting sandwich and pastry shop in NYC. Between the Bread immediately gained recognition for being one of the first “muffin shops” to open its doors in the U.S. In 1982, Ms. Eisen expanded into the field of catering with Between the Bread, Events and Celebrations, Inc. A revolutionary in the food and beverage industry, her imaginative event ideas and food arrangement styles have earned her numerous design awards. While the original store closed after September 11th, Between the Bread’s carry-out shop continues to thrive on 55th Street in midtown Manhattan.

Over the course of her career, Ms. Eisen has made several television appearances including The Apprentice, Good Morning America and local morning shows. She has also appeared in print media on topics ranging from secrets of entrepreneurial success to cooking tips to corporate trends. Outlets include the New York Times, the Wall Street Journal, USA Today, New York Magazine, Forbes, Crain’s, Metro New York, Woman’s Day, Good Housekeeping and restaurant trades as well as Zagat’s.

Ms. Eisen continues to provide catering for charities in the local area and has served on the board of the Israel Cancer Research Foundation of New York.

Ms. Eisen studied political science at Hunter College in New York City.
