Robert Espinoza is the Vice President of Policy at PHI: Quality Care for Quality Jobs, the nation's leading authority on the direct care workforce. In 2015, he was appointed by the Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services to its Advisory Panel on Outreach and Education, as well as by the National Academies of Sciences, Engineering, and Medicine to the Institute of Medicine's Forum on Aging, Disability and Independence. Prior to PHI, he served as the Senior Director for Public Policy and Communications at SAGE, the country’s premiere organization advocating for LGBT older people. A long-time policy advocate, researcher and writer, Robert's writing has appeared in Politico, Tikkun Magazine, Aging Today, Generations, and Public Policy & Aging Report, among others.
