Robynne Anderson works internationally in the agri-food sector as secretariat to the International Agri-Food Network (www.agrifood.net), co-ordinating the private sector mechanism to the United Nations Committee on Food Security and is a spokesperson for Farming First (www.farmingfirst.org). She has also been working on several IGO processes related to food security, women in farming, and development. Her volunteer work also includes a program in Zambia to teach orphans agricultural skills through schools. She has been a media commentator on farming, seed, and manure management sectors. Her firm, Emerging ag inc. assists farmers groups and a wide array of other actors in the agri-food value chain. She lives on a family farm in Dugald, Manitoba, Canada which grows oats, canola, wheat, barley and other crops. She is looking forward to the International Year of Pulses in 2016.
