Roger A. Sneed is Associate Professor of Religion at Furman University, located in Greenville, SC. His work involves the intersections of African American religious thought and culture, Christian thought and gay male sexualities, and religious ethics. His book, Representations of Homosexuality: Black Liberation Theology and Cultural Criticism (Palgrave Macmillan, 2010), examines the ways in which black liberation theology and late twentieth century African American cultural criticism approach black gay experiences. He is currently working on a manuscript that examines science fiction, Afrofuturism, and black religious thought.
