Rosemary Sellers is an educator who taught English at a Los Angeles public high school. She transitioned from private industry to teaching in an effort to pursue her lifelong passion for education. She currently mentors and tutors at risk teens at A Place Called Home in South Central Los Angeles, where she has served on the Shaheen Scholarship Committee for the past three years.

Her husband has been a high school Engish teacher in LAUSD for the past 20 years and she is continually inspired by his and other teacher's forbearance, patience and skill at working on behalf of students in spite of the current educational system.
