Ruzan Sarwar is a graduate of Georgetown University’s Conflict Resolution Program in Washington, DC. She attended Stuyvesant High School and graduated summa cum laude from Stony Brook University in New York with a bachelor’s degree in Political Science and minors in International Affairs and English. Ruzan—who has lived in Saudi Arabia, New York and Bangladesh—is an international affairs policy and governance-building professional. She has experience working for Congresswoman Sheila Jackson Lee, the National Endowment for Democracy, and the UN Development Programme. She speaks English, Bengali, Hindi, Spanish, and some Arabic. She is an aficionado of coffee and dresses, and she can usually be found with a copy of Foreign Policy magazine.
