Sarah Springer may have grown up in the small city of Bakersfield, California, but she managed to evolve into a world traveler. So much so that after studying aboard in Spain while at the University of Southern California, it didn’t take long after graduation for her to travel to Ethiopia, Africa where she filmed her first documentary on the healthcare system there. Although Sarah has been writing and reporting since high school, it was in Africa where she found her passion for documentary film and international reporting. Since then she’s received a master’s degree from New York University, worked at CNN.com where she reported stories about race and identity in America, has worked as a producer for ABC's Good Morning America and currently works at CBS News. She is passionate about film and media and enjoys using her journalism skills to volunteer as videographer and editor for non-profit organizations. She currently serves on the board for a non-profit organization supporting orphans in Ethiopia.
