Susan D. Blum is Professor of Anthropology at the University of Notre Dame. She has written "I Love Learning; I Hate School": An Anthropology of College (2016), My Word! Plagiarism and College Culture (2009), Lies that Bind: Chinese Truth, Other Truths (2007), and Portraits of "Primitives": Ordering Human Kinds in the Chinese Nation (2001). Obviously she has eclectic interests, unified by intense curiosity about what makes humans tick. Increasingly she wants to be in the room where it happens (attribution: Lin-Manuel Miranda).
