Sigi Hale, Ph.D.

T. Sigi Hale, Ph.D. is a founding member of UCLA’s Mindful Awareness Research Center and a neuroscientist at the UCLA Semel Institute. His research explores the implications of humans having two distinct and specialized brain hemispheres. In particular, he studies how variability in interhemispheric interaction contributes to the diversity of human intelligence styles, as well as psychopathology, and has published several scientific papers on this topic. Outside of science, he is a husband, father, musician, sports enthusiast, and lover of the great outdoors.
