Sharon King Hoge is a travel writer with a wide range of media experience as a writer, editor and on-air television personality.

Sharon King Hoge has an extensive background in print and broadcast media and in public relations. Currently a media consultant and writer, she is a Contributing Editor at “Conde Nast Traveler” and “Global Traveler” and is Editor at Large for the Cottages & Gardens magazines. She was “Insider” columnist for AOL and The “Insatiable Shopper” for “Forbes FYI.” She created and edited the “Today in New York” page for the “New York Daily News,” and participated in the creation of the Delta “Shuttle Sheet.” Read more at: http://www.sharonkinghoge.com/ Her broadcast career includes producing and on-air work at WIND Radio and WLS-TV in Chicago and at ABC-TV, CNBC, and the Food Network. For her reporting at WBZ-TV in Boston she was named Consumer Reporter of the Year. She has served as an Events Organizer for the Outdoor Life Channel, the “New Yorker Magazine,” and Fleet Bank. Her consulting work includes work for www.MarthaStewart.com and creating the annual “The Week Magazine” Opinion Awards. A native of North Dakota, she studied at Wheaton College in Massachusetts and at the JFK School at Harvard University. She resides in New York, travels extensively, and keeps eight small homes in Ireland, Nova Scotia, Florida, Connecticut, and New York State.
