Stephen Shelton was born and raised in Pittsburgh. In, April of 2002, with one other employee and a wheelbarrow, he started Shelton Masonry, Inc; a firm that now employs 20, has shown significant growth and diversification each year in operation, and is renowned for some of the finest restoration work currently being done in the city. In 2009, realizing the need, not only in the masonry trade, for a new generation of skilled professionals, he started the Trade Institute of Pittsburgh.
