A graduate of Providence College, Timothy English has a background in musical theory and history. A music writer for the last thirty years, he is the author of Sounds Like Teen Spirit: Stolen Melodies, Ripped-Off Riffs and the Secret History of Rock and Roll which received (and continues to receive) widespread media attention. He and his work have been featured in The Chicago Tribune, on Howard Stern’s Sirius Radio Show, on NPR’sAll Things Considered, onWNYC’s Soundcheck, on The Bob & Tom Show, on The Dennis Miller Show (multiple appearances), on Absolute Radio (UK), and he has a regular guest spot on BBC Radio 2.
