Yariv Kafri

Founder, Supportersize; the one hundred 2015 honoree

Yariv Kafri is a father, husband, athlete and cancer survivor. He is 49 years old and lives on Long Island, New York. Yariv is a lifelong athlete who has participated in more than 30 long distance and half ironman triathlons and played semiprofessional volleyball; he also surfs, skis and practices yoga on a regular basis. He was diagnosed in the fall of 2013 with Stage IV lung cancer which prompted him to start Supportersize, a nonprofit dedicated to motivate and inspire cancer patients and their caregivers to Incorporate exercise in their healing process.
