Though the White House's new National Drug Control Strategy embraces specific policy options counter to those of the past thirty years, it differs little from its predecessor on fundamental issues of budget and drug policy paradigm.

The struggle to end America's disastrous war on drugs is a struggle for racial justice. How could it not be, given the extraordinary and disproportionate extent to which people of color are arrested, prosecuted and incarcerated for drug offenses?

Our new look and feel is about realizing and embracing the tremendous scope of our struggle to end the failed war on drugs. Lasting change can only be achieved by building on the common interests of as many people as possible.
