The most unhelpful and belittling thing a dance student can hear is that they are "boring" and "better than that," without specifying what "that" is.

Last Thursday's episode of Step It Up And Dance, Bravo's new reality dance show, which premiered three weeks ago, was, for the first time, actually about dance.

I would have liked to hear Marlee's perspective on her difficulties. We heard the judges say everything looked "forced," but Mambo is impossible without being able to hear the music.

Hooray for Marissa Jaret Winokur. Her tango this week was lovely. I agree with Len that it was her best dance yet. And poor Cristian!

So, Cristian is going to continue despite his need for surgery. It's a brave decision, and shows how popular and respected this dance show has become.
