Sam Stein's story about Sharron Angle ducking the media caught my eye -- I recently spent 10 days in Nevada trying to get an on camera interview with her.
After countless phone calls, emails and polite excuses from her communications staff, I ended up in a conference room at the Atlantis casino in Reno, where Sharron was holding a fundraiser with the Republican Jewish Coalition. And that's where I heard her say,
"I'm one of you, I want to know you. I want us to talk. I want you to feel very comfortable about coming up to me and saying, Sharron, this is what I think."
After which, she ducked out a back door. So I took Sharron up on her invitation, as she waited by her limo in the casino parking lot. It didn't exactly go the way I'd hoped.
