Last week 2.4 million of you watched MTV's new reality series Jersey Shore. If you haven't seen this show yet, you need to get your Armani Exchange'd ass on the couch and witness America's most recent obsession: the subculture of the self-proclaimed "Guido."

This sector of the Italian American population has popped up in film and TV over the years, and its most recent incarnation as the Jersey Shore's Fist-pumpers, Juiceheads, Guidos and Guidettes. If you were raised in Los Angeles, you probably haven't had much exposure to the Guido (although the Ed Hardy Gang that roams the scene out here is a close enough variation). Here is a brief guide to help you brush up on Guido culture.
