Barbara K. Hofer is Professor and Chair of the psychology department at Middlebury College and a Fellow of the American Psychological Association. She is the author, with Abigail Sullivan Moore, of "The iConnected Parent: Staying Close to Your Kids in College (and Beyond) While Letting Them Grow Up," (Free Press, 2010). She is an educational, developmental, and cultural psychologist whose research focuses primarily on adolescence and the transition to adulthood.
