The favorite chortle of the right wing at the moment is that Sarah Palin, the hot librarian that John McCain plucked out of a frozen hat, has more executive experience than Barack Obama.
Yes, yes, she does.
And who else does she have more executive experience than?
John McCain.
I would say that our conservative friends are dumber than moose shit, but since no one calls them on their idiotic pronouncements, maybe we are the real dummies.

Bush had executive experience in business and as governor of texas. His businesses failed. All this experience, including all of those 'experienced' people he brought on board (Cheney, etc.) really did a bang-up job of running this country...into the ground.
Executive experience doesn't mean sh**. I had no experience before my first go at it and I kicked ass. My boss has 16 years experience in his job and he still sucks at it.
The fact is that Barack Obama has judgment, while his competitors have demonstrated a lack thereof. McCain for all his support of the war and lack of it to fund protecting the troops (while they're there and when they return in need of medical assistance), and Palin for mis-judging our intelligence when she lied in her first speech after the announcement. She was for the bridge to nowhere until she was Governor. She has a track record of using earmarks to their fullest, including earmark requests made this year. Neither of them apparently had the judgment to expect that McCain calling her earmark requests while Mayor "more pork." I just don't see much judgment there that compares to Mr. Obama. Sorry. Perhaps the Republican party should spend some years actually caring about people more than their desire for power and maybe they'll get another shot at the White House.
More important than experience is critical thinking, thoughtfulness and curiosity. It frightens me that Palin "has not paid much attention to Iraq". Given McCain's age, it is horrifying to think of someone like that taking the reins of power.
Everyone should examine this web site. http://www.ontheissues.org/Sarah_Palin.htm
Palin is a real political light weight. Notice how many issues they list as "No issue stance yet recorded "
We don't know her position on so many things and the republicans are so eager to make her VP. Unbelievable!
This person could be a heart beat away from the presidency in 5 months and she has no position on record for so many key issues. She makes Obama look like Kissinger, The republican hypocrisy has no bounds.
You said "hot librarian". Did you mean that or "hot libertarian". I didn't notice a reference to her being a librarian although I am willing to stipulate that she is literate. Libertarian, now. Hhhhmmmmm. She wants to stop women from controlling their own bodies. She wants to stop medical researchers from using stem cells. She wants to force teachers to teach creationism as part of the science curriculum.
Now I get it. She's a "hot authoritarian". How silly of me not to realize sooner.
Ha! Hot authoritarian indeed! Hot librarian refers to her look, not her personal history. Thanks for the comment and the information.
Librarian? Did Palin graduate from college and what are her collegiate accomplishments? Why all the references to high school accomplishments, and almost Miss Alaska? It seems strange to point all the way back to high school with no references to college. Academic achievement is a crucial consideration in addition to experience.
Executive Experience is defined as experience where one is the top (or 2nd top) decision maker for the company, State, large military unit, etc. (See for example, Army General, Governor, Lieutenant Governor, Vice President of the United States, prior President of the United States, and Chief Executive Officer.)
If the Repugs define mayor of a little town and less than 2 years as governor as the kind of executive experience to be VP or President of the USA that is ridiculous. Joe Biden with a wealth of experience other than the exec. exp. is miles ahead of the Mc Cain choice. It's all semantics.
Yep, its a weird semantic argument that signifies very little.
Why is Obama so nice? I think someone else, move on? should tear into the Republican.
You are not a dummy Mr. Motes because you just called them and raised them on their Bullwinkle Crap.
Thanks!
Also, Obama created from scratch a wildly successful presidential campaign. He is a master organizer and executive.
Excellent point.
Who's "we", kemo sabe......
Political Correctness is the bane of the Democratic Party....
As Jane Smiley posted on her blog....Ladies, Let's Make Her Whine....it's Bitch to Bitch time.
ONWARD, MY DEARS!
Jane Smiley is my heroine. Her pieces on Palin are absolutely savage and classic. I expected nothing less from the author of Moo, a novel that has resonated with me for the decade since I read it.
Actually the year and a half on the Presidential campaign for both Obama and McCain count as very recent, very intense, executive experience and in duration about equal Palin's executive experience. So in judging executive abilities, ask the question "which of the two has made better choices?".
Yeah, and I'm fed up listening to "Be Kind" and "Don't Upset the Applecart". too! I'm sick and tired of those who are afraid of their own shadow, have the head in the sand scard to speak-out and tell it as it is, time the repugs eat their Moose-sh*t, we've been eating Bu$hit for too long...
8 is enough !
What are you, some kind of American patriotic nut who thinks the First Amendment means something?
Thanks for the comment. Definitely our moral obligation to speak out.
If Experience matters, who's pulling her levers.
If they elect those two morons its time to setup our own country somewhere else. My lord I'd hate to believe in the year 2008 that the population of the United States is that bloody stupid. Bush has more experience than all of them and look how screwed we are.
