Halfway Home: 15 Mosques In 15 Days (PHOTOS)

Posted: 08/22/11 04:27 PM ET

During Ramadan last year, we traveled to 30 Mosques in 30 Days, and this year we are doing it again. I am typing this in Atlanta as Aman sleeps. I am running on less than two hours of sleep. We have travelled across America in the past 15 days, and we are only half way through our trip. This calls for a look back at some of our favorite moments.

You can find daily updates on our 30 Mosques in 30 Days website.

Day 0, Anchorage, Alaska -- Aman jumps a barricaded section of a park. The sign reads that a hiker was attacked by a bear earlier that morning.

This is a good action, but when you visit a Mosque, a Cathedral, a Synagogue, or any religious structure, take time to listen to the prayers of people of faith, who came to this holy structure when they felt their burdens were too large to continue, and you will feel the peace that they felt as they left this holy structure. This is a feeling inside that there is a Higher Power Who loves them an acknowledges them as an individual.
