In television news, a record 106 million viewers tuned in this past Sunday to watch the much-anticipated Super Bowl commercials -- surpassing the commercials shown during the finale of M*A*S*H in 1983.
"I really liked that E*Trade commercial after that pivotal onside kick in the third quarter," said Super Bowl viewer, Mark Kallers. "I personally like anything that involves babies talking -- and about girlfriends, no less! Classic. I guess the close football game was okay too."
"The game itself is one of the most important parts of the Super Bowl since it gives us commercial fans time to get up to go to the bathroom or get another beer," said another Super Bowl viewer, Ben Turley. "I honestly wouldn't know what to do if we didn't have that 10-15 minute period in between commercials to just walk around and converse with friends -- I really treasure it."
According to sources, Peyton Manning has admitted that he too was watching the Super Bowl commercials during the Colts' last drive of the game.
