Benjamin Brown, David Delcourt and Adam Schrader-Brown launched MakeMeSustainable in July 2007 after over two years of development. The site was created to empower individuals and organizations to reduce their environmental impact. The company provides industry leading energy management tools that allows users to fully understand their carbon footprint and begin taking actions to decrease environmental impact and financial costs. They are currently working on new platforms to provide quantitative information on products to help consumers make informed choices. MakeMeSustainable helps people encourage their friends, and family to be a part of this movement, fostering the growth of communities concerned with the environment and the rising cost of energy. For Ben, David and Adam MakeMeSustainable represents a life-long commitment to the environment and social activism.

Benjamin Brown, Chief Executive Officer, has a background in energy markets, energy modeling, renewable energy and regulatory economics. He most recently contracted with Constellation New Energy to develop their energy efficiency and load response offering as well as design renewable energy products for their smaller commercial and residential markets in New England. He previously worked as an Analyst in the Energy and Environment consulting groups at Charles River and Associates International and Industrial Economics Inc., where he modeled various energy and capacity markets and researched future economic trends and regulatory incentives for renewable power generation in the United States.

David Delcourt, Chief Operating Officer, began his professional career in Natural Resources finance with the Banc of America Securities Global Investment Banking Team, working with various valuation and financial modeling techniques in the the natural gas, oil, and pipeline industries. Subsequently, David joined the Communications group at NERA Economic Consulting in Boston where he served as a Research Analyst, applying economic and financial modeling, research and valuation to legal and regulatory issues, competitive pricing and demand issues in regulated markets.

Adam Schrader-Brown, Chief Creative Officer, is currently a lecturer at Brooklyn College and John Jay College, where he teaches Undergraduate English and the STAR program for public high school students. He brings a range of experience in creative writing, new media, advertising, education and social activism. Adam has worked as a teaching artist in the New York City public school system through the Community Word Project and through an NYSEA grant which sponsors Artists residencies in NYC's neediest public schools. Adam's writing has been featured in the Earshot series and the John Jay Selects series. His work has been published in McSweenys, VerbSap, and Lorraine.
