The drought in California is easy to forget about when the water runs fine and our daily lives hardly feel affected. But the reality is that the U.S. Drought Monitor has run out of ways to describe the severity of the drought, since "severe drought" "extreme drought" and "exceptional drought" are already taken. Calling the drought "exceptional" could be problematic, since this may no longer be an exception.

Desperate times call for extreme measures, and this sexy film vignette couldn't say it any better. Directed by Hollywood veteran Cameron Romero (son of the director of the cult classic, Night of the Living Dead (1968), and featuring a cameo by yours truly, "Hot Water" is short, sexy and brings new ideas of how to "Do Your Part." The film is a project from PROVOKE, a speaker series and production company pushing the boundaries of activism in the film industry.

Provoke was founded by the film's star, Dominika Wolski, to create a forum in LA where like-minded industry people could put their talents forward for a cause.
