Ben Goodman, 18, is a Barack Obama delegate from Kennebunk, Maine and serves as the Pine Tree State's youngest delegate. He will be a freshman at the University of Maine at Orono this fall, where he will major in political science.

Goodman's involvement with Democratic Party politics dates back to 2000, when he was a volunteer for his local town committee. In addition to being a New Hampshire Primary volunteer for Dean for America in 2004, has volunteered for numerous Democratic races, including coordinating online social network outreach for an unsuccessful congressional primary campaign in Maine's first district in spring 2008.

From May 2007 to June 2008, he served as the Maine High School Coordinator of Students for Barack Obama (the official "youth wing" of Obama for America, and was promoted to Northeast Regional High School Coordinator in March 2007. He currently serves as the Communications Coordinator of the state college program, as well as the student coordinator for DemCorps, a community-oriented Democratic non-profit organization.

Goodman is a very active member of the Kennebunk town committee, and an at-large member of his county committee. He was elected to a two-year term representing York County on the Democratic State Committee in May, 2008.

Goodman currently serves as the co-chair of the Maine Legislative Youth Advisory Council, and served as a United States House of Representatives Page in the Summer of 2007.
