Benson Lee is the director of Planet B-Boy, which is in the International Documentary Feature competition and the Tribeca/ESPN Sports Film Festival at this year's Tribeca Film Festival. Planet B-Boy explores the resurgence of break-dancing and goes inside the underground hip hop dance scene around the world, as the best teams prepare for the "The Battle of the Year" -- an annual "World Cup" of b-boying.
Previously Lee wrote and directed Miss Monday, which was nominated for the Grand Jury prize at Sundance. Lee was born in Toronto and raised outside Philadelphia. He attended NYU and graduated from the University of Hawaii.
