Beth Burns is an actor, director, playwright, and the artistic director of the award-winning Hidden Room Theatre from Austin, Texas. Her previous work includes studying playwriting with Edward Albee, winning an NEA grant for a collection of short plays, and performing and teaching at the world-famous Groundlings Theatre in Los Angeles. Most recently, she began focusing on her love of Shakespeare, improvisation, technology, theatrical immersion and accessibility, and general weirdness to direct several highly acclaimed productions for the Hidden Room that have been performed in the US and the UK. She also wore a bear suit on Saturday Night Live.
